The Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi) honors outstanding scientific work based on data from the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) with a publication prize. The annual award is endowed with prize money of EUR 1,000 and is presented at the regular NEPS conferences.

Nomination
Participation in the competition for the NEPS Publication Award requires prior nomination. Nominations can be submitted by anyone—that is, self-nominations are also possible and welcome. The deadlines for nominating suitable publications will be announced on this website and in the RDC newsletter "LIfBi data".

Criteria

The publication is based on analyses with data from the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS, including NEPS-ADIAB, CILS4NEPS).

Working and discussion papers as well as expert reports and journalistic articles are excluded.

The article was published in the year specified in the call for nominations. Online-first articles are accepted if they are indexed by a DOI or similar.

There are no further nominations from the authors.

The publication has not been nominated for the NEPS Publication Award at any former time.
Selection Process
An interdisciplinary scientific jury consisting of members of the LIfBi senior management and the nationwide NEPS Network will decide on the prize winner from among all nominated publications.
The award winners will be informed immediately after the selection process and announced on our website and in the newsletter following the official award ceremony.
